Wine school

2012 is the year I plan to start a wine school in Cambridge and Essex and I’m very excited.

Tutored tastings are a great way to help you become more selective about what you buy. At a wine school event you can sample at least seven wines in an evening (or at least 12 in a day course).

I expect to be joining the fastest growing network of wine schools in the country. I will not be selling any wine – the events are completely independent and recommendations are based purely on quality, not commission. The wines available for tasting are drawn from all the usual supermarket and specialist wine shop retail outlets open to you.

When my website of evening and daytime courses is ready I will post a link here. Meanwhile if you want to find the nearest alternative venue to you, visit: localwineschool.com

I can also put together corporate packages for client entertainment, staff and team reward events, business seminars and conferences. A business wine tasting can take many forms from fun and informal with a quiz (e.g. Whose Wine it is Anyway?) to tutored tastings with a variety of wines. Each event can include a rapid introductory session on how to taste wine (explained in a no-nonsense, practical way), all the necessary equipment, glasses, wines and tasting notes. These are also suitable for fund-raising wine tastings for charitable organisations.
