It’s all about family and friends…

So when do you crack open a bottle of wine at home? For me it’s usually when you want a nice time with family around the table or when entertaining friends.

On this website I will be writing about great wine and food matches to help take the guesswork out of entertaining. The best evenings are when the wine and food is enjoyed by good friends, but the last thing we all need is another thing to worry about. So I don’t intend simply to catalogue the wines go with particular foods as if from a book – the idea is to take each pairing for a test drive and see for myself how well a particular wine works with the food.

By its nature that means my posts can only accumulate slowly over time, so forgive me if there are only a handful of recipes and suggestions on here to begin with. We all have to start somewhere.
